GPGE runs dedicated coffee mornings aimed particularly at older residents, offering a friendly and accessible space to meet neighbours, enjoy conversation and feel more connected to local community life.
Residents’ Coffee Morning take at the Lounge Bar of the Gunnersbury Triangle Club on Triangle Way. The events are ran by local resident Fiona Sallis and offer tea, coffee and homemade cakes in a relaxed setting for around two hours.
These coffee mornings are designed to be simple, welcoming and valuable. They give older residents an opportunity to get out of the house, catch up with familiar faces, meet new neighbours and enjoy company in a safe local venue. For residents who live alone or have fewer opportunities for regular social contact, this kind of gathering can make a meaningful difference.
The purpose is to help reduce loneliness, encourage friendship and strengthen the support networks that allow older residents to feel seen, included and valued. By creating regular opportunities for informal social connection, GPGE helps build a kinder and more connected neighbourhood for residents of all ages.
